My new series “Transformations”, give expression to personal changes as a process of spiritual growth. Following naturally out of the Inward Journey series, these objects reflect movement, rhythm , change in line, volume, direction, color and shape. They can be perceived as growth forms in different dynamics: sometimes very calm and subtle, sometimes explosive and dramatic… They resemble for me the music of J.S.Bachs piano studies “Das wohltemperierte Klavier”. Repeating a theme with small alterations was used by Bach to create different perceptions of a similar musical form evoking different emotions. Personal transformations are mostly subtle changes on the outside but can have a deep impact and even be life changing.
